It might be a month later than I originally anticipated but today was the day I rebooted my healthy lifestyle with an aim of improving my fitness and productivity. It's going to be hard but I am sure it will be worth it.

'Goodbye and good luck my friend'

This morning I dropped my brother off at Darlington Station to start his journey to Borneo for a three month trek with Raleigh International. He's been preparing for a long time for this and it sounds an amazing experience. It's a very surreal thought as I'm used to seeing him practically every day. Raleigh have set up a blog where you can follow the work that the group will be doing. I used to really enjoy watching Survivor, which was set in Borneo - so I know exactly what it's like (not sure if that is a good thing or not)!

Just had a huge box delivered, which baffled me as it had Virgin Media and E-On logos plastered on the front (I'm not a customer of either). Turns out it's a 'Home Move Box' from the estate agents I bought my house off. I think it is a genuinely nice thing for them to do and it's not often companies surprise you like this. I find it quite funny that it's sponsored mainly by Virgin Media, who have included a lot of information about cable TV and broadband (which isn't available in my area).

I rarely eat takeaways, despite working in one for three years when I was a student. My brother is going to Borneo for three months on Sunday so we are having a Chinese takeaway treat tonight.

I will be having a wallpaperless house. Any suggestions for the best way to get rid of lots of it?

Today the mass renovation began.

I'm writing this on the train back from Birmingham City University where I spent the afternoon with second year students to share some of the projects I've developed with my class.

It seemed to go very well. The train journey has been long and tiring though!

I've spent most of the day preparing my talk for Birmingham City University students tomorrow. I'll mainly be sharing projects and ways that I have embedded digital technologies into my classroom.

It's only fitting that Martha the rabbit should get a new house if I'm getting one. It took a while to assemble but here it is.
